How To Make Tile Floors Shine Without Wax

Tile floors are used to make interior spaces beautiful due to their shiny and attractive appearance. However, all tile floors become dirty and eventually lose their shine when neglected. Tile floors become unattractive due to dirt and stains commonly transferred from shoes and other foot wears.

Wax is known to improve the appearance of the tile floors, but it eventually builds up and forms unattractive residue on the floor. Fortunately, simple and natural products are capable of making tile products shine without the need for wax or other chemical products.

It is important to note that before the process of cleaning, furniture should be removed from the floor if possible. If not, the furniture should be pushed against the wall, and the floor be dusted or swept to remove dirt and dust from the floor. How To Clean Grout Between Tiles

Grout is defined as a thin mortar, that is, a mixture of lime, cement, sand, and water, used to fill the gap between tiles. It is quite easy to clean a tile floor; however, it is way harder to clean the grout between them. Dirty grout makes the tile floors look unattractive, and even after cleaning, dirty grout still makes the tile floors look untidy.

There are various ways of cleaning the grout between tile floors.

Some of them include using;

Warm Water

Sometimes, a little bit of water is enough to make the grout clean. To apply the warm water method, just spray some warm water on the grout and scrub gently with a hard brush.

If a brush made specifically to clean grout is not available, then an old toothbrush or a manicure brush can be used for scrubbing. A wire brush should not be used because it can destroy the grout.

After a good scrubbing, light surface dirt should have been gotten rid of, and the white grout underneath will be revealed. (more…)
